Coaching

You are the change we need to see in the world.

You love the feel of your hands in the soil, a leaf, a favorite tool. You know you can do it yourself.  You just need some guidance.

How do I prune this?  When can I plant that? How is my soil? Do I have the right tool for the job?  What composting system is right for my family?  Which edible and native plants will thrive in my landscape, and what care will they need?

Have you grown deep roots in the land you steward? or are you just beginning your first season?  Do you have a few specific questions, or are you ready to commit to ongoing mentoring to deepen your understanding of your homestead?   Benefit from Rachel’s four decades of experience in land stewardship, ecology and regenerative living.

In Person Garden Coaching:  2 hour meeting, to-do list, followup email – $175 for first meeting

(scroll down for lower-cost Virtual Coaching options and near-neighbor discounts)

We’ll work side by side with you to help you make the most of the space you have, learn to care for the plants already there, determine what will thrive and create abundance for your family.  Junior gardeners especially encouraged!

At our first meeting, we’ll walk your land together and discuss its unique challenges and assets and your vision for your regenerative homestead.  We’ll look at your tools, your soil, any plants you have concerns for, and show you assets of your garden you may not even have noticed.   If your vision or priorities need clarification, we’ll help with that, and give you a clear, doable list of steps forward.

To support your regenerative land stewardship, we can help you: build your soil; create habitat for wildlife and pollinators; conserve water; source and work with reclaimed materials, or materials you already have.

Your session doesn’t end when we part ways; it includes at least one followup email.  After that, we’ll discuss next steps.  Followup visits are the natural choice, but there are other possibilities….Perhaps we’ll meet at a nursery to choose the best quality plants for your garden.  Want to study a natural area that inspires your learning?  Or a private tour of our site, the Blueberry Learning Farm?

Initial consultation – 2 hour minimum for many locations**, $175
